| Can I register on the day? |
It is best of you can register in advance so that we can plan effectively. If you are not able to register in advance, then you please arrive in good time to complete the registration process before the start of your event. |
| I registered, but I haven't received any information |
We send out the information to those that have registered about 1 week before the event. If you have not heard anything by the Thursday before the Mara-fun, Email marafun@footstepsinternational.org or phone 01689 828166. |
| Will I receive a number in the mail or do I collect on the day? |
Race numbers are issued on the day. |
| Can I fund raise for a charity other than Footsteps International or Rotary? |
Yes. However, your entry fee will go to support Footsteps International which organises the event. |
| Is it an exact marathon (or half-marathon)? |
The course is as near the correct distance as we can make it. However, we don’t have it formally measured as this is primarily a fun and fund-raising event. |
| Who should I make the entry cheque payable to? |
Cheques should be made out to Footsteps International. You can also register and pay online via the Runners World website. |
| Will there be medical cover? |
St John Ambulance will provide cover for the event. |
| Is it a track or road event? |
The marathon and half marathon events are on pavements around the streets and countryside around Orpington. Runners and walkers doing less than these distances use the athletics track at St Olave’s School. |
| Is it flat or hilly |
Mostly flat, but a couple of challenging hills. See the course profile |
