| The Mara-fun has been held successfully since 2005 with no accidents or incidents. Our aim is to ensure we hold a successful and safe event again this year. |
| We will provide: |
| * St John’s ambulance and trained nurses (volunteers) at St Olave’s School |
| * Course marshals with high visibility jackets |
| * A roving marshal to patrol the course |
| * Refreshment points at intervals around the course |
| * Course briefing before the start pointing out particular hazards |
| * An emergency number to call to get help during the race |

| You need to: |
| * Seek medical advice on your fitness to participate |
| * Arrange insurance to meet your own requirements |
| * Bring a mobile phone with you to call for help in an emergency |
| * Abide by the race rules and advice given in the briefing |
