Wheelchairs |
| People born with physical handicaps, or who are disabled later in life by disease or injury have no means of getting around. |
| In Africa, there is no free health service, and many disabled people simply have to stay at home, immobile and a burden on their families. |
| Mwinyi’s legs are paralysed, but thanks to the generosity of a Footsteps supporter he now has a tricycle which has given him back his independence (his friends think his tricycle is ‘cool’!) |
| Since 2002 we have been able to donate over 100 wheelchairs through our partner APDK Bombolulu, where the wheelchairs are made by people who are themselves disabled. |
How you can help |
