Wheelchairs

People born with physical handicaps, or who are disabled later in life by disease or injury have no means of getting around.
In Africa, there is no free health service, and many disabled people simply have to stay at home, immobile and a burden on their families.
Mwinyi’s legs are paralysed, but thanks to the generosity of a Footsteps supporter he now has a tricycle which has given him back his independence (his friends think his tricycle is ‘cool’!)
Since 2002 we have been able to donate over 100 wheelchairs through our partner APDK Bombolulu, where the wheelchairs are made by people who are themselves disabled.

How you can help

What better way could you spend £120 than giving someone back their mobility and dignity?
