Sunshine Borehole project

The Sunshine borehole is blessing the community of Naivasha, central Kenya with a plentiful supply of clean water.

The water is available to local people who would otherwise have to trek several miles for their supplies. It is also there to support businesses which provide much-needed employment in the town of Naivasha.

And profit from water sales is supporting the Sunshine Rehabilitation Centre which helps street boys into education and employment.

The borehole was funded by the Rotary Clubs of Bromley (UK), Nakuru (Kenya) and a Rotary International matching grant.

Working with Footsteps International and our local partners, the borehole was completed in February 2010.
