Every £1 you Gift Aid gives Footsteps an extra 25 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation to go further (applies to UK tax payers only)

Your gift will provide:

  • £30 a month sponsors a child's education

  • £40 a month pays for a former street boy to go to high school

Each sponsor receives:

  • A sponsor certificate with a photograph and details of their child.

  • Regular progress reports and photos

  • A general newsletter twice a year

Once sponsors have set up a standing order we will send details of your child.

Non-UK sponsors can make regular credit card donations to get the funds to us.

Your gift will provide:

  • 13 pence buys one school meal - no gift is too small.

  • £25 buys food to keep a child off the streets for a month

How donations are used

Does my gift really help the people I think it does?

Our trustees visit our projects regularly to ensure that all donations go directly to the people who need help.

Donations are used for food, water, firewood, wages for locally employed staff, education and basic necessities like soap and toothpaste.

We do not pay our trustees or pay the cost of their air fares. And, we don't engage in expensive advertising campaigns.

We use Currencies Direct to send money overseas because they give us a good rate, they don’t levy charges, and we can trace the donations to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

Legacies and wills...

... generosity living on...

If you would like to leave money to Footsteps International in your will:

  • Use a solicitor to ensure that your will is worded correctly

  • Unless you specify otherwise, legacies will be allocated to general funds to be used where the trustees feel the need is greatest

If you are the executor of an estate which includes a bequest to Footsteps International:

  • Please let us know

  • Please send us a copy of the will when the legacy is disbursed so we can inform our accountant..
