FOR SCHOOLS

Would your school like to learn about the children in Kenya and the challenges they face?
We can help by...

Giving an illustrated and informative talk to the school about Kenyan life and how Footsteps is helping some of its most vulnerable young people.

If the school curriculum requires students to study a country such as Kenya we can provide information based on our first-hand experiences.

Footsteps International has excellent contacts in Kenya with:

  • Tumaini Primary and High Schools, Mombasa

  • Church on the Rock Primary School and the Imani Pre-school which are in very deprived areas of Nairobi

  • Bishop Wambari Girl’s Secondary School, Naivasha, central Kenya

  • Naivasha Polytechnic, central Kenya

The students at Church on the Rock School, Nairobi love to hear about life in the UK.

Partnership with Southwark Park Primary School, London

We have worked with Southwark Park Primary School over several years to forge a partnership with the Church on the Rock School which is located in the Kware slum, Nairobi.

During interactive, illustrated presentations, we:

  • Tell the children in UK what life is like in Kenya

  • Tell the Kenyan children what life is like in UK

  • Compare the results using worksheets that both groups of children complete

  • Draw out the similarities and differences between life in the two countries.

Children in London and Nairobi live different lives, but support the same football teams!
